Butterfly Kisses

This past weekend was the first time in a long time I actually had off and all I wanted to do was to go to the Brookfield Zoo and visit their butterfly garden. It was amazing! I couldn't stop taking pictures. This one is one of my favorites - the main reason being is that middle part of the flower (I think it's called Pistil) remains sharp but it does not distract your focus away from the butterfly.

A Bug's Eye View

I think the reason I like this picture so much is that it gives me an idea of what the world looks like from their perspective. Imagine being an ant sitting on of those leaves and this being what you see. Kinda cool.

God's Angels Bowling

I love thunderstorms and to me the louder the better. When I was a little girl my grandmother used to tell me the thunder was God's angels bowling & when then made a strike it caused the lightening. Last week God's angels were bowling up a storm (no pun intended). These pictures only show a litle of the awesome cloud formations that were going on. You could literally see the clouds changing and moving right in front of you.

Simplicity

It's been a busy couple of weeks and I'm gettin back to what I love which is taking pictures. I chose these photos for the simplicity of them. Nothing fancy, nothing magical just simple and beautiful.

Mad for Magnolias

Growing up in Illinois, I thought that Magnolia trees were only in the South. So imagine my surprise while driving home the other day when I saw this beautiful blooming Magnolia Tree. Psalm 9:1 "I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. " This magnolia blossom shows just one of the beautiful creations God has created and I just had to thank Him for allowing me to see this wonder the other day.

Take a picture....it lasts longer

Remember when you were a child and you were looking at someone, if you were caught staring the response was typically "Take a picture, it lasts longer". Well, I find myself doing that these days. While walking into work yesterday, I saw that the trees had started to bloom amd God's creation had yet again started to show it's beautiful colors....so I took a picture-the image lasts longer :D
